Comment: Encouraging debut effort at Nottingham in June (6f, good to firm) and he was strong in the market prior to his latest Beverley outing (5f, good to firm); failed to reward the support but he missed the break (again) and found the early pace too strong before making up some ground in furlongs three and four (comfortably the fastest sectional for each of those furlongs); unable to sustain the effort late on but he remains open to improvement and going back over 6f should suit.
